Post Invincibility?

I was thinking in terms of an invincibility Build. Now, actually, this build probably wouldn't be invincible, but it would be immune (If I'm right on how the two key spells work) to physical damage and "spells" for 18 seconds. I'm fairly sure that "spells" doesn't cover the range of spells out there, and it might not apply to enchantments, hexes, AoE, whatever. You need a E/Me (or Me/E, again, whatever.) and a friend with one. Then, you both need Arcane Mimicry, and one of you carries Mist form, and the other, obsidian flesh. You use arcane Mimicry on each other, and use both Obsidian Flesh and Mist Form. Mist form prevents you from taking or dealing physical damage, but if I'm correct, you can still cast spells. Obsidian Flesh protects from spells, and although you would still be vulnerable to other stuff, as I said, the majority of skills can't hurt you. And, of course this only takes up two slots...

Enchantment stripers would kill you pretty quick.

You wouldn't take damage but conditions are still there, so are interupts and enchant strippers :P

I thought of this yesterday when I read a thread from someone here asking which of the two elites is better to avoid melee damage from Warriors. Ignore the reflexive response from people here who love to casually toss up obvious counters. It still is intriguing and I've been thinking of its possibilities. Chilblains can strip you but nothing else BTW.

The only spells that can target you are the non-target spells like Chaos Storm, Maelstrom, etc. Hexes and other direct spells will not. And I use Mist Form enough as a runner in PvE to know that the physical stuff doesn't work on you. I'm going to try out variants of this to see what it can do.

EDIT: I just realized that the thread I mentioned is at another site. Lol, no wonder I couldn't find it here again.

The problem with said build is definitely conditions. If they get piled on. [which happens if you're fighting a competent ranger or warrior], you'll die a slow and painful death...

[what's worse is that dazed will rip you in half]

also once mist form and obsidan flesh end, u may be able to cast your own elite again, but your friends elite is unavilable for 60 secs after it ends...So youd have like 18 secs of almost invincibility. Although if your in random arenas youll prib get disenchaned, or interupted.

too energy intensive 45 energy to get those all off.. it would be better just to be immune to spells and be a prot monk.. phys attackers have a horrible time killing prot monks so.. heres what you get.. lvl 15 divine favor.. cast blessed aura, have a 20% longer enchant weapon, and have a ranger/ranger secondary cast QZ then spellbreaker = permanent spellbreaker if you wanted. Then cast reversal.. when its really needed.. the key here is dont spam it frantically.. save energy and make it count.

A lot of problems here.

1. Obsidian Flesh only stops spells from targeting you. This means you can still be hit with Signets (Signet of Judgement for example), Enchantment effects (Retribution, etc.), Stance effects (Gladiator's Defense, Whirling Defence), AoE spells that don't target you (Firestorm cast on an ally), Skills (Deadly Riposte, Riposte etc.), and traps (Barbed Trap, Flame Trap, Dust Trap, Spiked Trap, etc.)

2. Mist Form only protects you from Physical Damage. This means anyone running around with a Fiery, Shocking, Ebon, or Icy weapon will still do full damage to you.

I'm sure there's more problems, but these are the major ones.

You need an E/Me and an Mo/Me and each pack Spellbreaker/Obsidian Flesh. Arcane Mimicry each other.

Then you can have continuous spell protection. Spellbreaker+Obsidian Flesh

(Well maybe not)
